Instagram Finally Made Toggling Between Accounts Possible

Those of us that have more than one Instagram account will soon be able to switch between them at the touch of a button.

It’s highly likely that as a business owner or soloprenuer that you have an Instagram account.  In the same breath it’s highly likely that you, like me, also have a personal Instagram account.  Chances are that until recently the notion of being able to easily toggle between the two was just a wish. That of course likely left one of your accounts neglected.

Well no more!

With it’s latest update, Instagram is letting its users bring multiple accounts together in one place for the first time, without the need to sing out of one and sign back into another.

The social network which now has more than 300 million users, announced it is rolling out the Account Switching on both iOS and Android devices.

The process sounds pretty straightforward to set up.

“Once you have multiple accounts added, you’ll see your profile photo appear in places throughout the app so you can always tell which one you’re using at the moment,” Instagram explained in a blog post.

Account switching will be available as part of version 7.15 of the app for both iOS and Android devices.

Instagram said the update will roll out to users gradually, and has told people to keep an eye out for it hitting the app stores later this week.
