There’s Profit In Solving Problems. That’s a fact. When you solve someone else’s problem they’re grateful. When you can do that online with a product (or product recommendation) you’ll be rewarded with cash. The best product owners and affiliates in the world know this better than most.
It’s all about helping people resolve their problems.
- Problems like:
- Stopping the dog from barking
- Finding the best 3d TV
- Choosing a secure online backup system
- Finding the right college
- Quitting smoking
- Meeting single people
- Etc.
It’s a principle that should be taught from day one in any “how to make money online” course you ever read. Even if you’ve heard it before it’s something you should never forget.
One of the best ways to help people solve problems is to understand them. When you know a niche demographic inside and out you can overcome all objections with ease (another sales principle – overcoming objections).
So what does that mean? What does it mean to understand a niche?
Well – it means knowing that not all people that want to quit smoking are trying to quit smoking cigarettes. In fact, there are a lot of folks that want to quit smoking marijuana.
It means knowing all of the different options available to people trying to quit smoking. There are laser treatments, detox diets, patches, hypnosis therapies, and so much more.
Understanding a niches problems means understanding what their questions are. One great way to start your research is to find the forums these people ask questions in. You’ll gain some amazing insight this way. Conversations are literally glimpses into the psycho-graphic nature of your ideal prospect.
But forums aren’t the only way. Two tools you may not be as familiar with for research are
#1 Yahoo Answers
http://answers.yahoo.com/
An oldie but goodie. Just enter your main niche keyword phrase into the search bar and let the nuggets of gold come to you. You’ll see dozens of questions that your niche is asking, right at your fingertips. Use these questions to write articles, create reports, etc.
#2 Quora
https://www.quora.com
Quora is a favorite of mine. It’s very similar to Yahoo Answers but you can often find much more spirited answers and debates to a question.
Between the two of these sites you’ll gain incredible insight into your niche. After spending just 30 minutes on these sites you’ll have keywords, article titles, report topics, demographic research, psycho-graphic research, and most importantly – solutions to problems.
Before you start your next site or campaign head over to these two sites and get into the mind of your prospect. You’ll be glad you did.
