Perform At the Highest Levels – Everyday

Warning – Some of this material may be considered controversial. Uh oh. This ain’t going to be your typical affiliate advice type of blog post. Not today.

Killing it as an affiliate isn’t the hardest thing in the world to do but it’s not the easiest either. If you want to pull down big monthly numbers you’re going to have to perform at a high level. There’s more to performing at high levels than great organization, will power, and coffee. And no, we’re not talking about subid’s either.

Killing it everyday at whatever it is you’re doing requires a constant stream of energy, focus, and dedication. If you ask almost any successful business person (no matter what the market) you’ll find these three things to be a common factor among them all.

The good news is that there is a lot of information available on how to reach this level of extreme performance. You just need to know where to look.

Do your own research. Different things work for different people. Use this as a guide and go from there.

1 – Nootropics

Nootropics are nutrients for your brain. The theory is that they nootropics provide the nutrients the brain needs to boost neurotransmitters. This keeps you calm, focused, and driven.

Recently Tim Ferris published an absolutely incredible guest post by Rich Roll. Rich has been called one of the “25 Fittest Men in the World.” That’s not to say he’s some professional athelete with world class trainers behind him. No in fact it’s quite the opposite.

Among his accomplishments:
– Two top finishes at the double Ironman-distance Ultraman World Championships
– Completing 5 Ironman-distance triathlons on 5 separate Hawaiian Islands in less than a week, a feat no one had ever even attempted.
Here’s the kicker: he did both in his mid-40′s.

Beyond that though he’s a lawyer, husband, and father of 4.

He’s the epitome of a high performing machine. Think he’s got something to share?

You bet your ass he does.

In this post he shares 10 highly uncommon superfoods that will create an optimal you. And no, you won’t find acai berries or green tea on this list. This is as legit a list of superfoods as they come.

Here is a short list of “easy to find” superfoods (from yours truly)

  • Kale (it’s the new beef, don’t ya know?)
  • Spinach

You know how you’ve always been told to “eat your vegetables”? That’s not the best advice.

You should DRINK your vegetables!

Seriously imagine sitting down and trying to eat this:

5 Big leaves of Kale
1 Cucumber
4 Stalks of Celery
2 Golden Delicious Apples
Half a Lemon
1 small piece of ginger

It’s hard to picture but that’s a TON of highly nutritous food. It’d be really uncomfortable to eat all of that.

But! If you juice all of that you’ll end up with a cup or two of green surprisingly-tasty juice. BAM you just consumed the nutrients of more fruits and veggies than your average American eats in 2 days. Sad but true.

Now imagine juicing 2x’s a day. Your body will be firing on all cylinders because it has the nutrients it CRAVES. Your body will absorb this so much easier than if you were to eat all of that. You can’t get this level of nutrition with a multi vitamin.

Juicing is different than blending. Juicing will give you all of the nutrients without the fiber. There are pros and cons to both.

4 – Whole Body Fitness

This is not the same has “hittin the gym” Not all exercise is created equal.

This is the type of fitness that you use IN LIFE. This is the type of fitness that helps you carry the groceries, pick up a bag of mulch, do the dishes, and make your bed. This is fitness that helps your entire body function better, hold back the hands of time, and reduce injury.

There are a lot of theories out there on this type of fitness. Here are three that I use nearly everyday and have found great personal results with.

Kettlebells

Ladies – don’t scoff at this one. It’s for everyone. Kettlebells are basically little canon balls with handles on them. They come in all sizes from 5 lbs to 75 lbs. It’s an old Russian form of weight training that works your entire body – legs, abs, core, chest, arms, and back.

It’s shocking what a great workout you can get with these things in such a short amount of time. Another great aspect to KBs is that the workouts are very low in impact. They often use swinging motion that’s much easier on your joints than traditional weight lifting.

KB’s will increase your overall strength and improve your energy levels.

Pick up just one DVD or series from any of these places and you’ll be in good shape. Pun intended.

Yoga

Guys – don’t scoff at this one! Yoga isn’t as easy as you might think. It’ll increase your heart rate at a surprising speed. Not only that you build strength and flexibility without ANY impact on your joints. It’s a fantastic workout for anyone.

If you are 400 lbs without an athletic bone in your body – Yoga couldn’t be a better exercise for you to do.

If you’re in shape this will make you in better shape and improve your energy levels.

One more key thing to note about these forms of exercise is that neither of them take long to do. 20 – 30 mins a few times a week will show you great results. Do either of these workouts everyday and you’ll find yourself in the sexiest, healthiest shape of your life very quickly.
